David Louis Addiego

David Louis Addiego, 87, passed away on July 27, 2021, at his home in Idaho Falls, Idaho with his wife of 66 years, Beverly, by his side.

David was born on November 30, 1933, in San Francisco, California to Simeone Francis Addiego and Maria Elizabeth (Ruggerio) Addiego. He grew up in San Francisco and received his education at Sacred Heart High School, graduating in 1952. Post-graduation, David was drafted into the United States Marine Corps and served for three years in the Korean War.

David married his high school sweetheart, Beverly Mae Selz at the Church of the Epiphany, San Francisco on May 7, 1955. They were blessed with two children, Dean and Laurie Addiego. David and Beverly began their married life in San Francisco and finally settled in Idaho Falls, Idaho where David worked as a cable splicer for Bell Systems.

During his life he had a love of the outdoors, spending countless hours hunting, fishing, and camping with family and friends. In retirement, he enjoyed sharing his passion for the outdoors with his grandchildren by taking them fishing on his boat or shooting on a Sunday afternoon.

He is survived by his loving wife, Beverly Addiego of Idaho Falls, Idaho; son, Dean Addiego and his wife Lisa Smith of Idaho Falls, Idaho; grandchildren, Andrew and Austin Skaar of Idaho Falls, Idaho and Nicholas Addiego of San Diego, California; son-in-law, Richard Skaar of Idaho Falls, Idaho; sisters, Nancy Addiego of San Francisco, California and Florence Williams of San Rafael, California; a great-grandchild and many nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

David was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, two sisters, and his daughter, Laurie Ann Skaar.

Following his wishes, David will be cremated and his ashes will be scattered in nature.
