Obituary

William Johnson, beloved husband, father, and friend, passed away on December 27, 2025, in Idaho Falls, at the age of 73. Born on August 8, 1952, in Arkansas, William lived a life filled with passion, creativity, and a deep appreciation for the natural world.

Throughout his life, William found joy in outdoor activities such as camping, shooting, and fishing. He cherished moments spent with family, often gathered around a warm fire, watching the flames dance and sharing stories. His love for nature was not only a source of happiness but also influenced his artistic pursuits.

William was an accomplished wood turner and expert wood gluer, renowned for his ability to create intricate bowls and vases that showcased his skill and artistry. His talent extended beyond woodwork; he had a unique knack for polishing rocks, particularly agates, transforming slabs that others considered challenging into polished treasures. This dedication to craftsmanship reflected his vibrant spirit and attention to detail.

William is survived by his loving wife of nearly 39 years, Gina. He leaves behind a close-knit family that includes his son Troy, daughter Brandi, stepdaughter Stacey, and his cherished grandchildren: Avery, Shelby, Brooklyn, Tyler, Jackson, Katie, along with many other stepchildren and step-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews who will carry forward his legacy of love and creativity.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Winnie, and his brothers, Leonard and Howard. William’s memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. His legacy of artistry, love for family, and passion for life will inspire all who were fortunate to be touched by his presence.

Family and friends will gather on Monday, January 5, at 1:00 PM at Buck-Murphy Funeral Home. In lieu of flower, please make donations to Champs Heart or a cancer research association. Please note due allergies present in the family, lilies cannon't be accepted. Thank you for your understanding.
