Travis Henry Martin

January 24, 1911 — March 1, 2011

Travis was born January 24, 1911 in Hartville. Missouri he moved to Idaho in 1950. Travis was a long time resident of Buhl and had worked for Green Giant and many farms in the area. He was well liked by everyone. He loved to dance at the local Senior Citizen halls and continued dancing until he was 97 years old. His second love was fishing he enjoyed catching and eating crappie and perch the most. He always had a pot of pinto beans and corn bread which is a very fond memory from his grandchildren, they could always count of him having a good pot of beans and corn bread whenever they visited. Actually I think his longevity in life was due to his love of dance and his beans and cornbread. He loved to listen to the Old Time Fiddlers the most, they would play and his foot would be a tapping with the songs with a big smile on his face. Travis is survived by his wife Norma Martin of Buhl, daughter Maria Brookshire of Oregon, Son; Dick and Michelle Martin of Missouri, brothers; Sherman Eaton and Ellis Eaton both of Missouri, sister; Dorthy Frazier of Missouri. Grandchildren; Tommie Norwood and Nancy Armenta of Mountain Home, LaVerna and Bob Turner of Kentucky, Rick and Sharon Kessler of Georgia, Dean and Sandy Kessler of Kentucky, Dianna Barber, John Barber both of Texas, Stella Wilson of California, Brian and Matthew Brookshire of Oregon, Michael Brookshire of Alaska, Jerry and Scott Martin of Arkansas, Cole and Cody Martin both of Missouri. He has 32 great grandchildren and 18 great great grandchildren. And many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, two daughters, a granddaughter.
