Sarah Lillian Fisher Watson

October 31, 1908 — March 9, 2010

Sarah Lillian Watson, 101 of Twin Falls died Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at her home.

I was born in Myton Utah, October 31, 1908, (on Halloween day) at 8: 15 am. My loving parents were Walter Eugene Fisher, and Spicy Ann Fisher. I was raised and played with my best friends, Lotus Fisher, Hattie Gorman, Howard Fisher, Henry Fisher, Loraine Reese. I was raised and educated in Utah. We came to the Buhl Idaho area in 1925. I met a very handsome young man. Lee Ondes Watson, we were married on May 11, 1929 in Gooding Idaho. And together we farmed for 52 years on the 4 mile corner (Watson corner) south of Buhl. We raised five sons, Dudley, DeWayne, Donald, David, Danny. While living in Salt Lake City I participated in the Miss Utah Pageant. My brother (Lotus) and I loved to dance. Every Saturday we would find a place to dance. Sometimes the dance was in a large barn, we didn't care, we just wanted to dance. I still love to dance but the legs have slowed down now. When my children were growing up, On and I raised milk cows, beef cattle, horses of all kinds, pigs, goats, dogs of every color, cats by the dozens.
The kids and I developed life long passion love for fishing. After the children were raised, I fished often and met a lot of interesting people that developed into some of my best friends. I was still fishing at 100 years old and always caught my limit. I traveled to lot of interesting places with a great friend Bernice Barron. Such as the Worlds Fair in Portland Oregon, around the world, Where we spent 10 days in the Holy land, toured Europe, Hollywood California, Washington D.C., New York where we climbed the Statue of Liberty. We traveled across the country of Canada in a train. I was born in the age of horse and buggy and lived to see a man land on the moon and the internet age. I moved from the farm in Buhl after 52 years, to Twin Falls. And from there, I went on my last fishing trip. What a life I have lived!!
