Robert HOLVERSON

Robert (Bob) Holverson, 74, went to be with his Lord after a long battle with cancer on Sunday afternoon, the 17th of September 2017 at his home in Idaho Falls, Idaho in the presence of his wife, Jo Ann, brother, Glen, son, David, and daughter, Desireé.
Bob's earthly life started on the 26th of May 1943 in Idaho Falls, Idaho, the son of Clyde and Mae Holverson. Bob, the fifth of six children is preceded in death by older siblings Barbara, Bonnie (who died as an infant), and Clyde. His brother Glen and sister Lola continue to live in the West. Bob was graduated by I.F.H.S. in 1961; on December 6th, he married his wife of 56 years, Jo Ann Jensen Holverson.
Other than a year working in Salt Lake City and part of a year in Saudi Arabia, Bob lived his entire life in Idaho Falls working primarily in the irrigation industry that served agriculture. Bob served 30 years as a district representative, calling on equipment dealers. His working years were concluded by serving Idaho Falls district 91 schools as a school bus driver for 13 years.
Survivors include their three children, David Martin Holverson (married to Lynn), Dawn Marie Lange (married to Benson), and Desireé Michelle Sherwood (widow of Nick Sherwood). They also have six grandchildren and three great-grandsons.
Bob served his family more than 50 years in the Holverson-Henrie family reunion which annually hosted a gathering of as many as 300 people during an outing that included camping, live music, dancing, horse shoe tournaments, bingo, assorted activities, and an auction. Bob and Jo Ann attended most of those reunions. Bob's hobbies included bowling, fishing, camping, golfing, horse shoes, and card games.
Bob Holverson served his Lord, Jesus Christ, throughout his life as a member of Shiloh Four Square Christian Center in Idaho Falls.
Graveside services will be conducted at the Fielding Memorial Cemetery at 4900 S. Yellowstone Hwy, Friday the 22nd of September at 2 p.m. The family has requested that no flowers be sent rather donations may be made in the name of Bob Holverson to the Hospice of Eastern Idaho or Eden Home Health.
