Rachel May Earling, born on August 2, 1974, left this world on December 26, 2025. Her vibrant spirit and gentle heart will be profoundly missed by those who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Rachel attended Start Valley High School, where her passion for life was evident to all. She was a girly girl at heart, with a love for music that filled every corner of her life. Dancing was more than a pastime for Rachel; it was an expression of her joy, a reflection of her vibrant personality. She found solace in her books, often losing herself in different worlds while cuddled up with her beloved cat, who was always by her side.
Classic movies were another love of Rachel’s, and she delighted in spending time immersed in stories from another era, often wrapped in a gothic aesthetic that spoke to her adventurous spirit. Yet, despite her unique tastes, Rachel had an unbeatable soft spot for the less fortunate, selflessly giving her time and resources to help the homeless in her community—a true testament to her caring nature.
Rachel is survived by her cherished son, Sascha, and his wife, Faith, along with their two daughters, Addie and Juniper. To them, she was not just a mother and grandmother, but a guiding light whose love knew no bounds. She is also survived by her loving parents, Rick and Toni Earling, who supported her through every stage of her life, and her three brothers: Shane, Destry, and Wyatt, with whom she shared countless memories. The legacy of love and strength Rachel leaves behind is complemented by her grandmother, Geraldine Alice Earling, who, at 99 years old, is a beacon of wisdom and family connection.
Rachel was preceded in death by the love of her life, Will Hopson, whose memory will forever remain close to the hearts of those who knew him.
As we say goodbye to Rachel, we celebrate the life she lived—a life full of love, kindness, and unforgettable moments that will echo in the hearts of her family and friends forever. Her memory will continue to inspire us to embrace life with the same passion and spirit she exemplified every day.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date for both Rachel and Will.
