Philip D Conrad

January 1, 1970 — January 1, 1970

Philip Daniel Conrad, age 33, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday, January 18th, 2022, at his home. Philip was the 4th child born to Phyllis Pekala on August 20th, 1988. He was preceded in death by his father Michael E. Conrad. He grew up in the Idaho Falls area.

Philip will be lovingly remembered by his son, Carson Conrad; mother, Phyllis Pekala (Michael); brothers, Tony O Carlyle (Walter), Michael “Cruz” Conrad; sisters Kristi Carlyle-Day (Jason) and Liz Conrad (Nick); and significant other, Emily Price. Philip is also survived by two nieces Brooklynn Conrad and Kaylie Day.

Philip attended school at Ririe Jr./Sr. High School and Bonneville High School.  He then graduated with honors at Lincoln High School in 2007 where he spoke at his graduation. He also married Ashley Garza in 2007.  They were blessed with a son Carson Conrad. They were later divorced but remained friends and focused on being successful co-parents for their son. Philip worked for several years with his dad and brother learning the trade of drywall, paint and finish work. He recently completed a computer program while working at the Olive Garden where he met the love of his life, Emily Price. They worked side by side doing things with friends and family, watching movies, cooking, traveling and building a life together.

Philip loved the outdoors, had a passion for sports and enjoyed spending time with his family. He had a special bond with his brother and best friend Cruz. They grew up doing everything together, including camping and fishing, and also playing sports in school. They remained best friends through his adult years and were able to continue these traditions. His love for the outdoors also continued into his adult years. He really enjoyed watching sports on TV and spending time at his parent’s house playing games with his family. He loved anything competitive; golf, playing basketball, yard games, board games and even betting on his favorite teams. Philip was very smart, talented and competitive which often gave him the winning edge. He was a loving father to his son Carson. They often hung out at the skate park and played basketball and volleyball; and he also taught Carson various skills like how to paint, work on his scooter or bike, and recently they even built a computer together.

Philip was extremely loved and had an influential impact on everyone he knew, including the people he worked with, along with his friends and family. He was a member of Watersprings Church and a believer with the love of Jesus in his heart.
