Peggy Ann Morishita Brookshire, beloved wife and mother passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on January 7, 2026. She was 70 years old.

Born on March 14, 1955, in Idaho Falls to Tucker and Miyo Morishita. Peggy attended elementary and junior high in Idaho Falls and graduated as a Salutatorian from Skyline High School in 1973. With her interest in Science and math, she continued her education at California State University at Fullerton. During summers home form school she worked for the BLM as a dispatched for five fire crews, during this time she met her future husband Alan Brookshier who on one of the fire crew.

Peggy graduated in 1977 with a B.S. in mechanical engineering, returned home to take a job with Department of Energy (DOE) where she became project lead for regional engineering and hydropower projects. With her knowledge and experience, she provided mentoring and technical advice to her colleagues and left a positive impact on the department's alternative energy programs.

In 1978 Peggy and Alan were married and resided in Idaho Falls, moving into their one and only new home. In 1986 they welcomed their son, Mark.

With Peggy's retirement she had a diverse range of interests, she enjoyed gardening, reading online research in the areas of medicine and technology.

Peggy is survived by her husband, Alan, son Mark, sister Penny Tibbits (Michael) and numerous cousins and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Tucker and Miyo and numerous aunts and uncles.
