Patricia M. "Trish" Evinger

Patricia "Trish" M. Evinger, 64 of Menan, ID passed away on Friday, August 26, 2016 after a long illness. She was born on January 9, 1952 in West Des Moines, IA to Clifford and Evelyn (Acheson) Sutherland. When she was 2 years old the family relocated to Denver, CO where she attended school. She married Elmer J. Evinger on August 14, 1971. In 1979, they came to the Idaho Falls area, and lived in Iona and eventually settled in Menan in 1998. She worked as a cook at the high schools with Bonneville District 93. She also worked as a foster parent for 22 children who came through her home. She also worked as a tax preparer for H&R Block in Idaho Falls and Oregon. In 2002, her and Elmer bought a hotel in Crescent, OR that they operated until 2010 when they returned to Menan. She was a member of Roberts Community Church in Roberts. Trish is survived by her husband Elmer of Menan; daughter Robin Evinger and her husband Dan Hoeksema of Melbourne, FL; two grandchildren: Christian Masters and RaeDawn Masters; great granddaughter: Ariya Judd, all of Idaho Falls; her mother Evelyn Sutherland; brother: Clifford "Larry" Sutherland of Spokane, WA; her sister Madonna Johnson and her husband Spencer of Elbert, CO and many other family members and friends. Trish was preceded in death by her son Steven Evinger; and her father Clifford Sutherland. Memorial services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 3, 2016 at the Roberts Community Church, 637 N 2872 E, Roberts, ID.
