Marjorie (Marge) Ann Collins Wheeler passed away January 6, 2019 surrounded by family.
Marge was born January 8, 1931 in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Raymond and Gladys Collins. She attended schools in Idaho Falls and graduated from Idaho Falls High School in 1949. On May 6, 1951 she married Calvin Richard (Dick) Wheeler at Trinity United Methodist Church in Idaho Falls. To this union four children were born; Sherry, Kathy, Rick, and Paul. Dick and Marge farmed in the Osgood and New Sweden areas for many years. Once they quit farming, Marge went to work as an administrative assistant for SAIC. She continued to work with them through the many changes in the firm and retired in 1995. While her health allowed it, Marge was actively involved with the United Methodist Women and Trinity United Methodist Church serving on various committees. She also loved to attend family reunions, whether it be the Wheeler Roundups or the Collins family reunions. Marge was often busy attending and supporting her grandkids in the activities they participated in. She always looked forward to spending time with her family during the holidays, camping trips and vacations. Marge is survived by her, children Sherry (Dan) Gray of Terreton, Kathy (Dean) Bennett of Rupert, and Rick (Lisa) Wheeler of Idaho Falls; a sister Alice Clovis of Boise, her grandchildren, Jessica (Dan) Davis, Justin (Sam) Bennett, Preston Wheeler and Garrett Wheeler; great grandchildren; Owen and Olivia Davis.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her son Paul, parents, a sister Geraldine Strom, and her brothers Gilbert, Wilbur and Don Collins. A viewing will be Friday January 11, 6-8 pm at Buck-Miller-Hann Funeral Chapel. 825 E 17th Street Idaho Falls Idaho. Funeral Services will be held in Marjorie's honor Saturday, January 12, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Trinity United Methodist Church, 237 N. Water Ave. Idaho Falls. Interment will follow funeral services at Rose Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest donations be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, 237 N Water Ave, Idaho Falls, Idaho 83402.
The family would also like to thank the staff at Life Care Center for their care and concern for Marge and her family.
