Larry Melvin Johnson

December 26, 1940 — June 24, 2015

Larry M. Johnson left this earth to join his beautiful wife Jeannie on June 24, 2015. Larry was born on December 26, 1940 in Emmett Idaho to Harry and Beatrice Johnson. He spent his childhood in Idaho until joining the Navy where he became a 22 year Navy veteran who was so proud to have served his country. He married the love of his life, Lela Jean (Jeannie Foley), on April 21, 1971 and they were inseparable. They raised three children, Robert Ray Luttrell, Forest Riley Luttrell and Iola Luttrell (Freeman). After retirement from the Navy, Larry went on to work for Idaho State Police and Jerome County as a dispatcher. He retired from Spears Manufacturing in Jerome, where he worked in the guard shack. Larry always had a smile on his face and a love for the outdoors that he shared with his family. There was not a camping spot in Idaho that he did not know of, and he spent the last years of his life enjoying them with his son, daughter in law and grandkids. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Jeannie, and son Robert (Bob). He is survived by his adoring sister Dixie Vitley, his devoted son, Forest Luttrell, daughter Iola Freeman, daughters (in law) Juanita Luttrell and Sonnie Luttrell, grandchildren, Stephon and Mikey Morales, Gracianna Daniels, Larry Allen, Sean, Tommy, Alex and Cory Freeman, nephews, nieces in- laws and outlaws, and countless others who loved him.

God speed Dad (Larry), kiss her hello from all of us. At Larry's request there will be no formal services. Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of White Mortuary, Chapel by the Park, Twin Falls. Condolences may be left for the family by visiting www.whitemortuary.com.Larry M. Johnson
