Jose Francisco Castillo Sr.

Jose Francisco Castillo Sr., 71, of Twin Falls passed away on Friday, July 10, 2015 at St. Alphonsus Hospital in Boise.
Francisco was born in Benson, Arizona on August 10, 1943 to Angel Secundino Castillo and Concepcion Berume. Following the seasonal crops, Francisco came to Twin Falls in 1962. This is also where he met Maria (Veronica) Sanchez whom he married in 1965. He worked as a custodian and then became manager of the Twin Falls Labor Center before becoming the Regional Manager of the Idaho Migrant Council where he worked for eighteen years until the time of his retirement. Together Francisco and Veronica raised three children, Frances, Jose Francisco Jr. (Lupita) and Libertad all of Twin Falls. He was especially proud of his grandchildren Emilio (Emily), Selena, Jose, Veronica and Avion and great grandchildren, Imani and Isavel. Francisco enjoyed poetry, drawing, gardening, camping and being with family. He was known for always offering a helping hand to family and friends and was well-loved by all who knew him. greatly missed. He is survived by Veronica, his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, three brothers, Tito Castillo, Rosendo Castillo, Manuel Lopez; five sisters, Rosie Broderson, Esther Slim, Ana Lopez, and Estela Villarreal of Arizona, Carlota Foley of California. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Hector Castillo, Secundino Castillo, Martin Castillo, Ricky Bojorquez, Freddy Lopez. Funeral Mass for Jose will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 16, 2015 at St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church, 161 6th Ave. East, Twin Falls with Fr. Mike St. Marie celebrating. Burial will follow at the Twin Falls Cemetery. The Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday evening at White Mortuary, 136 4th Ave. East, Twin Falls. A viewing for family and friends will take place on Wednesday evening from 6:00 p.m. until the time of the Rosary at White Mortuary, Chapel by the Park, Twin Falls.
