John William Tiffany passed away at his home in Rathdrum, Idaho June 6, 2018.
He was born September 27, 1964 in Minneapolis to Lewis and Ruth Tiffany, he was the 5th of 5 children.
The family moved to Idaho Falls, ID July 1972. Where he attended schools graduating from Skyline High School. He was a scrappy football player and played Grid Kid football and also for the Skyline football team. After school he worked with his brother Fred in his recycle yard and as a result traveled to numerous western states. He signed up with Missouri Valley joint apprentice training program for four years before becoming a Journey Lineman which took him to several states, including Minnesota, Wisconsin, Colorado, Washington State and Utah. He was an avid outdoorsman and had 6 trips to Boundary Waters Canoe area in northern Minnesota with his brothers Fred and Greg and a nephew Allen. He also went on an Alaskan fishing trip with two nephews, Allen and Joshua. He married Nina Metz in 2004 and in that union he was blessed with one son, William and 4 step-children, Johnny, Katie, Chris and Kelsey. He was a devoted father to his son Will and also to his 4 step-children. Being the outdoorsman he was; he decided to move to Coeur D'Alene, Idaho where they lived till his passing. He is preceded in death by his father Lewis Tiffany.
John is survived by: his son Will, mother Ruth Tiffany, his brothers Fred and Greg Tiffany, two sisters Susan (Tiffany) and Tom Ryan, and Jean (Tiffany) Swearingen, his former wife Nina Tiffany, and her children, and numerous nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held in John's honor Thursday, June 14 from 6 to 8 pm at Buck Miller Hann Funeral home. Funeral service will be Friday, June 15, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Hope Lutheran church located at 2071 12th Street Idaho Falls, ID. Arrangements made under the direction of Buck Miller Hann funeral home, 825 E. 17th St. Idaho Falls, ID.
