Jerry Craig Capell

Jerry Craig Capell passed away peacefully at home in Fruitland, Idaho on February 1, 2018 at the age of 62. Jerry is survived by his wife Karla RaLene Sorensen Capell, his children and their spouses; Heather (Craig) Hamann, Ryan (Liz) Capell, Janson (Kimery) Capell, and Kirie Capell, eleven grandchildren, his mother, Mary Capell, and his brothers Doug, Rick, and Terry Capell. He is preceded in death by his father, Leon Capell. Jerry was born in Pocatello to Leon and Mary Capell on July 31, 1955. He was married to his high school sweetheart, the love of his life, Karla Sorensen, on April 11, 1975, in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. They raised their family in Caldwell for almost 30 years. Jerry was a dental lab technician for 35 years, and he was very dedicated to his work; loving the precision and artistry of the craft. Jerry lived his life with humor and love towards everyone he met and knew. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son and loved all of his family immensely. He had a strong testimony of his Savior, Jesus Christ, and his Heavenly Father, and he served Them faithfully. A viewing will be held on Wednesday February 7, 2018 at Manning Wheatley Funeral Home 510 N. 12th Ave. Pocatello, ID from 6-8 pm Funeral Services will be held on Thursday February 8, 2018 at 11 am with a short viewing prior from 10-10:45 am at the Pocatello LDS Church at 3444 Hawthorne Rd. Pocatello, Idaho 83201. A memorial service will be held on February 10, 2018 at 11 am at the Caldwell LDS Church at 3015 S Kimball Ave, Caldwell, ID 83605.
