James Richard McDaniel

James Richard McDaniel passed away April 16, 2018 at his home in Idaho Falls. He was born May 16, 1982 to Joe & Valerie (Dean) McDaniel. James was a very loving son, father, brother, uncle, grandson and friend.
In Oct. 2001 James married his love Sharla Coon and together they had two wonderful sons Jamen 16 and Emmit 14. Later they were divorced. Those boys were the pride and joy of his life and he cherished every moment with them. James wore his heart on his sleeve.
James loved hunting, fishing, camping, and anything to get his truck muddy. He cherished his friends that throughout time became his brothers. He was always there to help when he could. His most recent job was working for K&M Construction in Idaho Falls, ID. He was a boar machine locator and fabricator. When he began at K&M he soon surprised them with his talent and quickly became a valued employee. James enjoyed the guys he worked with very much and they were like family to him. In earlier years he also worked for Miskin Scraper Works and Powerhouse Coach. He was an avid welder and fabricator and had such amazing talent for creating and building.
He leaves behind his parents, Joe and Val McDaniel, his boys, Jamen and Emmit McDaniel, Sisters, Karen (Dan) McGrew, Stephanie (Chris) Bleak, Bobbi Jo (Brandon) McDaniel, brother Dan (Ashley) Carter, nieces and nephews, Aaron, Tiffany, Brookie, Alyssa, Chase, Hailey, Taila, Brenden, Kayli, Jaya, and Carter, Grandpa Dean (Mary), and Grandma Vina.
He was preceded in death by his Grandma Dean, Grandpa Jim, Uncles Rick and Craig, and his brother Jeffrey Dean.
He will be unbelievably missed by all, but is now at peace in the Lord's Arms.
A memorial service will be held in James' honor Monday at 10 am April 30, 2018 at Saint Luke's Episcopal church 270 Placer Avenue, Idaho Falls ID, The Reverend Susan Speir presiding.
