Jack W. Griggs

Jack W. Griggs, 79 passed away on December 16, 2024, at his home in Idaho Falls Idaho with his daughter Lisa Griggs by his side. He was born February 11, 1946, to John and Amelia Griggs. he was the baby of three boys. He attended school in Idaho Falls, Idaho and graduated from Idaho Falls High School. His first job was at Snake River Equipment as a mechanic alongside his dad. Later, he worked as a mechanic for the city of Idaho Falls and eventually became a maintenance mechanic at INEL. This is where he became disabled from a back injury. His first marriage was to Carol (McShanock) Ball they had three children. They later divorced and then he married Jackie Bell and they later divorced. On January 1, 2000, he married the love of his life Sheri Rae Sims who passed away on December 30, 2011 His true passion was fishing in his boat. He was also an avid hunter. He was a member of the Elks Club over the years. He played in many of the dart leagues for Yellowstone specialties. He also had a special place in his heart for his fur babies, Petey and Lucy. He has survived by his daughter, Lisa Griggs, sons Darrell (Shannon)Griggs, Jason, (Tammy) Griggs. Six grandchildren. Lakota (Chelsy)Messenger. Sadie (Michael) Day. Thane (Taylor) Griggs, Mikayla (Chance Prouse) Griggs, Kaylee Griggs. And 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Sheri Griggs, his parents, John, and Amelia Griggs, and his brothers Mervin Griggs, Jay Griggs and grandson Kyle Summers.
