Harry was born March 2, 1928 in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Hannibal Dewey Taylor and Blanche Walston Taylor. He was raised in the Riverdale area. He attended schools in Shelley until the age of 16, when he left home, bought his own truck and started driving short and long haul for various companies.
He married Alene Bradshaw on December 7, 1946 in Dillon, Montana. They resided in Shelley and together they had 6 children; they later divorced. He obtained his GED in September of 1956. On September 12, 1977, he married Beverly (BJ) Lange in Jackson, Wyoming. BJ brought 3 children into this union. They resided in Shelley. After retirement they moved to Palisades, Idaho. He served as President of the Swan Valley Snow Roamers and as President of Park Lane Home Owners Association in Palisades, ID.
Harry was an accomplished musician, playing the organ and the accordion. He learned how to play music "by ear", he never read sheet music. He played in his own band, The Westerners, playing at local establishments and weddings.
He enjoyed snowmobiling and traveling. Harry also loved puttering on cars, trucks or anything with a motor. The family called him their energizer bunny, as he always managed to pull through the many heart problems and procedures he had, never complaining and always managing a smile.
