Eleanor Hensley

Eleanor Myrtle Hensley

Eleanor passed away peacefully at her home in Dubois Idaho.

Born in Rexburg and raised in Spencer Idaho. Daughter of Herbert and Jessie Stevens. She grew up with 7 brothers and 7 sisters, she also had 2 brothers (Darryll (pronounced DelRay) and Ira) that passed away as babies. She attended school in Spencer and Dubois where she graduated from Clark County in 1949.

She met the love of her life Guy Robert Hensley and was married in 1950. From that union they had 5 sons Bill, Brent, Jack, Ace and Alvin.

Tragically Guy died in June of 1984 from a lingering illness. She moved to Idaho Falls after the passing of her husband until 2017 when she came to live with her son Ace in Dubois until her death.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers: Art, Weldon, Donnie and Melvin, sisters: Rose, Irene, Iris, Caroletta, and Colleen. She is survived by brothers Rendell and Jay sisters Marie and Rinita, 6 grandkids, 9 great grandkids, 3 great great grandkids.

Viewing will be at Buck-Murphy from 6-8 pm April 1st.

Graveside service are at Spencer Cemetery 11 am April 3rd.
