Dora May Goldman

Dora Goldman, 96, passed away October 24th 2017 at Fairwinds Assisted Living under the care of Onesource Home Health and her loving daughter Carma. The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to Carma, for her dedicated, loving care of Mom. Dora was born to William and Nellie Rush, November 6th 1920, in Dubois, Idaho. Dora's father worked on the railroad and the family traveled with him, living at various locations in Idaho and Montana.
As a teenager, Dora went to work on the Reno Ranch as a cook. There she met her future husband, Carl Goldman. They were married on October 10th 1937 and had a 57 year partnership as husband and wife. Working together on various farms and raising their five children, Elma, Leland, Alfred, Carma and Bonnie. Dora and her husband farmed the land in Camas, Grant and Shelley before settling on a purchase of a 120 acre farm in Idaho Falls.
Dora enjoyed working as the Bonneville county registrar for 12 years until her retirement in 1992. She enjoyed crocheting, bowling, dancing and fishing.
Dora was an active member at St. John's Lutheran Church.
Survivors include, Elma Morgan of Idaho Falls, Leland (Bev) Goldman of California, Alfred (Karen) Goldman, Carma Markin, Bonnie Edwards of Idaho Falls; Grandchildren, Brenda, Lana, Wendy, Paula, Sonya, Chad, Angela, Christie and Heidi; 20 great-grandchildren ; two step great-grandchildren and 10 great-great- grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Carl Goldman, two son-in-laws, Bob Markin and Nat Edwards, her brother, Earl Holden and her sister Dorthy Wilson.
Visitation will be Monday October 30, 2017 at 10 am at St. John Lutheran Church. A funeral service for Dora will be held Monday October 30, 2017 at 11 am at St. John Lutheran Church on Seventh and Emerson.
