Donald Burkman

Donald W Burkman, Don, passed away peacefully at his home on July 2, 2023.
Don was born and raised in Basalt Idaho and Idaho falls Idaho, and after  high school joined the Marines. He enjoyed serving his country, and when he was finished, he became a professional driver.
Don loved all things outdoors, hunting, camping, but, especially fishing. He never met a stranger, loved all pets, and was everybody’s fun Uncle!
When they were younger, he dated the love of his life, Marie, but both went off to start their own lives, they reconnected and were married in July of 2008, and enjoyed 15 fantastic years, having many adventures together!  They settled in DuBois, Idaho, and lived a wonderful life together.
Don was preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy, and Kenneth, and is survived by his wife Marie, sister Jane, his brother Wade, 12 nieces and nephews, and more family and friends that we could name!
Services will be held at the Dubois Community Baptist Church,on the 22nd of July at 11 am  followed by a military service at Waring Park.
