Dianne Merkley

Dianne Merkley, 67, passed away on January 19, 2016, in Idaho Falls, ID. She was born on January 14, 1949, in Salmon, ID to Mark and Alta (Hansen) Phillips. She married Richard R Merkley in Boise, ID, and they were sealed for time and all eternity in the Provo Temple on December 8, 1976. Dianne's family meant the world to her and everything she did, she did for them. Despite numerous health problems she continued to fight through adversity to remain on this earth as long as possible for the sole purpose of raising her children and grandchildren. Dianne looked forward to the day she would once again be reunited with the love of her life, Rick. Dianne is survived by her parents: Mark & Alta Phillips; her children: Brad (Becky) Merkley, Denice Sears, Todd (Nicole) Merkley, Brett (Allison) Merkley, Brian (Michelle) Merkley, Richelle (James) Stimpson, Ricanne (Thomas) Steele and Torianne Merkley; 29 grandchildren; eight great-grandchild; brothers: Larry Phillips, Gary (Jeanette) Phillips, Cliff Phillips; sisters: Mary (Scott) Criddle, Sharon (Steve) Gibson, and Kathleen (Don) Olson; and sister-in-law: Janelle Phillips. Dianne was preceded in death by her husband Richard R. Merkley on April 13, 2000 and brother Clyde Phillips. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 25, 2016 at the Sand Creek 1st Ward, 885 S. Boulevard, Idaho Falls, ID. A viewing will be held from 9:30-10:30 prior to the service. Interment will follow at the Ammon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in Dianne's name to help with funeral costs at any Westmark Credit Union location.
