Deborah Hipps

October 20, 1951 — November 23, 2015

Deborah L. Hipps, 64, our beloved wife, mother, sister and aunt unexpectedly left us on Monday, November 23, 2015, after a short battle with cancer. Debby was born to Calvin L. Downs and Virginia L. Vetter Downs on October 20, 1951, in Leavenworth, Kansas. Debby and her family were very active in the community by volunteering with Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, American Red Cross, Teton Flood and the Parade of Lights during its early years. In 1998 she and her very dear friend, Elaine Gray opened Grandmammas Relics and Gifts in downtown Idaho Falls. In 2011, due to poor health involving both ladies the business had to be closed. She also very much enjoyed the ladies at the monthly Pinochle Club. Survivors include her husband, Jim of Idaho Falls; son, Brandon of Seattle, Washington; sisters, Sandra Seaman of Elma, Washington, Janet Masson of Idaho Falls, and Leslie Vessey of Aberdeen, Washington; and her nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother and father and numerous aunts and uncles. A big thank you to the staffs of: Mountain View and Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center Hospitals for your valiant efforts. No Services will be held at her request. Cremation will occur. Arrangements are under the direction of Buck-Miller-Hann Funeral Home, 825 E. 17th Street in Idaho Falls. Online condolences may be left at www.buckmillerhann.comDeborah Hipps
