James Brent Christopherson (Red) left the world too soon on March 27th, 2021, but he will be forever present in our hearts. Brent was born July 13th, 1956. He married his beautiful, tall, strong willed and kind hearted wife, Mary on June 25th, 1983. Together they raised three amazing and handsome boys, who graced Brent and Mary with plenty of gray hairs and a slew of grandchildren (seriously... there's a lot!)
Brent lived most of his life in Hazelton, beginning the Christopherson legacy with his silly antics and shenanigans. There's not a person who knew him that doesn't have a funny story or a kind word to share about him. To say we lost one of the greats is an understatement.
Brent was a model example of a strong work ethic, painstakingly providing for his family in the spud field for over 40 years. Even with the long hours and countless days of farming, he still made time to share his love of hunting with his boys. Whether it was elk or geese, these boys sure kept the freezer stocked!
Brent's memory will live on in the hearts of so many. His wife, Mary will always remember the way he helped her in the kitchen... whether she wanted him to or not. His sons, Josh, Trevor, and Brandon will carry on his legacy with their own shenanigans and antics. His grandchildren Dylan, Kelsey, Taigen, Zander, Phenyx, Kaia, Deliliah, Corbin, Maddie and Maxwell will always remember his playful and kind demeanor. And his siblings Shanna (and Ron Robinson), Gary, Jan (and Larry Stamps), Deanie and his Aunt Donna (and Kenny Beam) will carry on his memory with fond stories of his full hearted life.
Brent joined so many that he loved beyond the pearly gates. He's smiling down on us in the company of his mom Dorothy, his dad Jimmy.
You can't help but smile from the bottom of your heart when you think about Brent. Please feel free to share stories, memories and photos with the family. A celebration of life will be held this summer to commemorate this man, whom we will never forget.
